The cross-disciplinary research leverages a convergence of expertise in materials, advanced manufacturing, and control systems, emphasizing synergistic integration of these fields to derive system-level solutions to complex technological challenges. The faculty's research interests encompass a broad spectrum of areas, including but not limited to energy materials, nanomaterials, nanocomposites, nanoscale heat transfer, thermoelectrics, nanomechanics, fiber-reinforced composites, additive manufacturing, nonlinear control systems, micromachining, spaceflight dynamics and control, tribology, nonlinear dynamics, nuclear materials, biomaterials, smart and adaptive materials, as well as computational approaches in nanomechanics and biomechanics.
Program Coordinator Troy, NY
The Program Coordinator assists the Program Director with the successful development, implementation, continuity and sustainability of the Rensselaer Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP). The Program Coordinator assists with the recruitment and on-boarding of program participants and with the development and scheduling of programs and workshops; provides support in the preparation, accuracy and maintenance of student records and evaluations as required by the grant; and works with the Program Director to develop the annual program reports.
Technical Lead, HPC & AI Troy, NY
The Technical Lead, HPC (High Performance Computing) & AI is a senior member of the team responsible for the design and implementation of HPC and AI systems. The Technical Lead also develops and aids in the development of tools and in support of the HPC and AI ecosystems. This position also leads and manages projects for cross-functional teams.
