The Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is where the arts, sciences, and technology meet under one roof and breathe the same air. Four exceptional venues enable audiences, artists, and researchers to inquire, experiment, develop, and experience the ever-changing relationship between our senses, technology, and the worlds we create around us. Job Summary

Front of House Captain - helps to open/close EMPAC building on non-event days, completes tasks assigned by FOH, prep workstation for the day. Assist with ticket sales, customer service, and day of event management. Supervision of student workers. 

Sr. Front of House Captain - opens/closes EMPAC building independently on event/non-event days. Work closely with visiting artists to arrange event area, set up and/or run registration table, handle cleanup of event space and other affected areas. Supervises student workers, both ushers and front desk staff. Assists with planning/prep for events. Manage/run events independently in absence of FOH staff.

Production Technician I - Stage Hand / Deck Crew / Running Crew

Production Technician III - Sr. Art Handler / Production Tech. Supervisor / Stage Manager / Sr. Rigger

Audio Technician I - Event Technician, Audio

Audio Technician II - Audio Engineer

Audio Technician IIISr. Audio Engineer

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) or more years related experience

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience directly supporting events, performing arts, and/or media production

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Technical proficiency
  • Customer service
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Strong communication skills

Shift

 The positions described above are part-time, as needed positions - weekends and/or evenings required

The Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse provides coaching, recruiting, and administrative support to the Head Coach in all aspects of the Women's Lacrosse program. This position assists with planning and conducting practices and competitions, instructing and mentoring student-athletes, identifying and recruiting qualified prospective student-athletes, supporting academic success, and promoting student-athlete development on and off the field. The Assistant Coach also assists with program operations, fundraising, alumni engagement, team travel, NCAA and conference compliance, and other administrative responsibilities that contribute to the success and competitiveness of the Women's Lacrosse program.
