Job Summary

The Athletic Facilities, Equipment, and Operations Coordinator will issue and keep records of athletic equipment, make minor repairs to equipment and maintenance of laundry operations. The Athletic Facilities, Equipment, and Operations Coordinator is responsible for courteous guest relations to visiting teams and officials and will ensure visitors are comfortable and familiar with the building and sport-specific arena, visitors/officials locker rooms and athletic equipment needed for the event.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • 1 year athletic equipment experience
  • Valid US driver’s license

Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of athletic equipment terminology
  • Basic knowledge of the methods, tools, equipment, and materials normally used in maintenance
  • Ability to function independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work under strict time constraints
  • Demonstrated Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Shift

Non Standard Shift: This position requires shift flexibility and a non-standard schedule, as it involves attending games and practices that may occur on evenings, weekends, and holidays requiring adaptability to varying hours and locations.

Travel

Local travel between campus locations only

Driving

Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $20.00
