Why Rensselaer? Job Summary
|
The Administrative Associate provides general administrative and operational support for the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) unit. The Administrative associate is responsible for assisting visitors, answering the telephone, maintaining databases and files, and assisting with events.
|
Minimum Qualifications
|
- High school degree or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years related administrative experience
Relevant combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted for the above qualifications.
|
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
|
- Excellent in person, telephone and electronic customer service skills
- Ability to operate office equipment including multi line phone, copiers, fax machine, printers, etc.
- Knowledge of alpha/numeric filing systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and the demands of internal and external constituencies in a professional and calm manner
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work with diverse populations in a team environment
- Planning, organizing and effective time management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan and organize work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Starting Salary/Rate
|
Expected hiring range: $17.45 - $19.00 per hour (40 hours per week, 12 months per year)
