Job Summary
|
The Athletics Department seeks two temporary, fixed-term positions for the Spring semester to assist with day-to-day and game-day operations. The Coordinator, Marketing and Communications will support marketing efforts and fan engagement during home athletic events, assist with digital asset creation, stat tracking, broadcast or streaming support, and press box duties. The Coordinator, Sports Information and Communications will provide similar support, with additional responsibilities in website management, social media content creation, and photograph tracking. Both positions will work closely with full-time staff to ensure smooth operations and enhance the overall athletic experience at RPI.

Minimum Qualifications
|
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 or more years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, sports information, or a related field.
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Coordinator, Marketing and Communications
Position Type: Fixed-Term, Part-Time Hourly Rate: $16/hour Hours Per Week: 20 hours Employment Period: January 1, 2025 – May 30, 2025
Position Overview: The Coordinator, Marketing and Communications will support the RPI Athletics Department in delivering exceptional marketing and fan engagement experiences during home athletic events. This position will collaborate with full-time staff to ensure effective execution of game-day activities while also contributing to key communication efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing marketing and fan engagement initiatives at home RPI athletic events.
- Support communications staff with tasks such as:
- Building digital assets for events and promotions.
- Tracking and recording game statistics.
- Providing broadcast or streaming support.
- Performing press box-related duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned to enhance the fan and participant experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of digital media, sports broadcasting, or marketing is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Position Overview: The Coordinator, Sports Information and Communications will assist RPI’s communications staff in creating and distributing engaging content for the Athletics Department. This position will focus on managing digital assets, supporting game-day operations, and contributing to social media and website initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the communications team with:
- Building and managing digital assets.
- Tracking and recording game statistics.
- Providing broadcast or streaming support.
- Performing press box-related duties as needed.
- Assist with website updates, tagging and tracking photographs, and creating social media content.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of sports information.
- Other duties as assigned to enhance communications efforts.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Familiarity with website management, social media platforms, and digital content creation.
- Knowledge of sports broadcasting or communications is preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
