Job Summary

The Locksmith is responsible for making and issuing keys, and repairing and coring locks. The Locksmith participates in the rotating on call schedule for the Access Control shop.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years experience in the repair/installation and selection of locking systems and related hardware

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid US Driver License
• Use of personal vehicle to transport self, tools, and small parts 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of key codes and core combinations
• Excellent customer relation skills
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Self-starter, continuous learner and rapidly adapts to technological changes
• Ability to use a personal computer (Outlook and job specific software)
• Organizes and completes jobs safely and accurately

Shift

Business Hours: Monday - Friday.  Rotating on-call schedule for afterhours/weekends is required.

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $24.50- $27.00
