Job Summary |
The Mechanical Shop Supervisor directs the continuous, efficient and safe day-to-day operations of the Mechanical Shop. The position supervises Shop staff, manages workload, monitors performance and serves as the Shop client service liaison. The Supervisor works closely with other Division of Administration staff to respond to emergencies and complete major maintenance projects. The Supervisor manages Mechanical Shop service contracts, sources parts and equipment and manages vendor contracts. The position participates in Supervisor On-Call rotation and supervises call-in procedures and repair work performed outside normal work hours. |

Starting Salary/Rate |
Expected hiring range: $70,000 - $95,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting. |
