Job Summary

The Information Security Analyst will be a member of the security team, focusing on establishing a security awareness program, ongoing vulnerability management, responding to and investigating security incidents and alerts, and user facing security assessments. This position requires limited direction and specializes in Information Security.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT or computer related discipline
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in, training, IT project management, and/or systems support
    • Experience must include creating documentation and performing technical end-user training in a complex technical environment and using instructional design concepts for computer-based training

      Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in higher education environment

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity, including current trends, threats, and counter measures
  • Ability to develop and present computer-based training to a diverse audience; consult with departments to analyze business processes and support technology needs
  • Ability to manage both information systems related special projects and ongoing training programs
  • Ability to plan and manage resources
  • Ability to manage and direct problem resolution processes and build consensus among stakeholders to resolve conflicting interests or needs
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Planning, organizing and effective time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $75,000 - $85,000 / yr + full benefits
