Job Summary

The Clinical Case Manager is part of the multidisciplinary, integrated Rensselaer Student Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as an Institute-wide priority. The Clinical Case Manager provides developmentally appropriate services through Clustered Learning, Advocacy and Support for Students (CLASS), with a focus in three main areas: 1) clinical case management, 2) consultation and referral services, and 3) outreach and prevention education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • One (1) or more years of experience providing case management services

Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • 3 years of experience providing case management services 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of developmental, psychological and medical issues in the college student population
  •  Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse student groups, medical and mental health staff, and campus and community partners
  • Demonstrated high degree of effective listening and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Demonstrated high degree of inter-personal and inter-cultural competencies
  • Conflict Resolution skills
  • Ability to articulate, develop, and manage program and improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated Experience in public speaking
  • Ability to provide exemplary response to diverse constituencies while maintaining impartiality and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail

Shift

Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

Travel

Local travel between campus locations only

Driving

Incidental driving possible, but not required

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $55500- $60000

This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
