Job Summary |
• This is a live-in position with Rensselaer provided housing. The Assistant Dean for the Fraternity & Sorority Commons will assist the Associate Dean for Fraternity & Sorority Commons (FSC) in creating and sustaining the vision for the fraternity and sorority community as an integral part of the Student Experience. The Assistant Dean will have a shared responsibility in working with and supporting fraternity/sorority organizations in their living, meeting, and programming spaces. The Assistant Dean will assist the Associate Dean in the creation of sustainable, inclusive, and developmentally rich programs, and aid in matters related to community risk and liability management In addition, the incumbent will support the Associate Dean in all health and safety initiatives for both on/off campus properties. The Assistant Dean will work with community partners on diversity, equity and inclusion education, large scale community philanthropic initiatives, and work to support various programming and educational workshops. The Assistant Dean will also work to develop and implement effective public relations and marketing strategies to support community/council awareness. The Assistant Dean will support student staff, and provide advisement for up to two councils, and share coaching responsibilities for a grouping of designated organizations. |

Starting Salary/Rate |
Expected pay: $51,500 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting. |
