Job Summary

The Curatorial Administrator develops, maintains and prepares standardized contracts required for EMPAC curatorial activities in collaboration with the curatorial, business, and communications teams. The Administrator executes VISA and Export Control requirements with the relevant campus departments and with contracted partners. In support of the Manager of Communications and Grants, the Administrator ensures the proper and timely processing and submission of grant applications and subsequent reporting. The Administrator coordinates EMPAC collaborations with campus classes and off-campus community workshops.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 2 years’ of directly related experience.
  • Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with artist contracts. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent planning, coordination, organizational and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables and solutions in both standard and unique situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to learn other specialized software and applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic and communication skills.
  • Strong ability and knowledge of field specific operational/administrative functions
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to higher education and ability to work with a diverse population.

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

Knowledge of multiple art sub-genres (i.e. Performance, Audio, Visual, etc.) and types of artistic relationships (residencies, commissions, exhibitions, performances, workshops, co-productions, etc.)

Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

Local travel between campus locations only
