Professor of Practice: Market Strategy and Analytics
Rensselaer at Work, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s digitally delivered professional graduate programs for working professionals and their employers, invites applications for an instructional faculty member to teach in a graduate business program. The position begins July 1, 2024. The initial appointment for this non-tenure track position is for two years and may be renewed, contingent upon funding, performance, and the needs of the program.
The successful candidate will be an active practitioner with experience leading organization-wide efforts to identify and evaluate the organization’s markets, developing strategies for growth, and have demonstrated success in implementing campaigns to reach specific markets. Experience as or engaging with the c-suite level of technology-focused companies is highly desirable.
Candidates must have significant leadership experience in the areas of market analysis and strategic planning, including quantitative methods, data analysis, and data visualization.
The incumbent will assist in developing, leading, and teaching project-based courses over the full calendar year in a digitally delivered, mentored doing-focused learning framework. Teaching responsibilities will be at the graduate level, and it is expected that the incumbent will continue their professional activities and commitments in the field.
Minimally, candidates must have a JD, EdD, DBA or PhD in a field related to economics, strategy, or business as well as10-15 years of substantive professional/academic experience in the described fields. Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the collegiate level is preferred.
Appointment will be made as Professor of Practice.
