Job Summary

The Foundation Philanthropy Officer, Sr, is responsible for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation, and stewardship of philanthropic gifts coming from Foundations. Reporting to the Director of Foundation Philanthropy, and in coordination with key campus offices, the Foundation Philanthropy Officer, Sr develops relationships and revenue to advance Rensselaer's priorities and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Corporate and Foundation Relations (or equivalent experience at a grant-making funder)
  • valid US driver license

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Rensselaer and its major initiatives

• Ability to demonstrate empathy, support, and mentorship to colleagues

Shift

Business Hours: Monday - Friday

Travel

Regular travel (Up to 25%) is required

Driving

Driving a personal vehicle for non-passenger use is required from time to time.

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $95,000- $110,000

Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
