Job Summary
|
The Associate Director of the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship will play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within the Rensselaer community. The Associate Director will be involved with strategic planning, program development, and community engagement to support aspiring entrepreneurs across various disciplines. The Associate Director will work closely with the Director to implement initiatives that promote innovation, business development, and entrepreneurial education.

Qualifications
|
At minimum, candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field, along with five (5) or more years in entrepreneurship, business development, or a related area.
Candidates with the following are strongly preferred:
- Master's Degree in MS, MBA, Ph.D. or similar, along with a bachelor's in a STEM, business, or entrepreneurship field.
- 10+ years of experience, to include experience in fundraising and grant writing in addition to experience in entrepreneurship, business development, or a related area

|
• Exceptional program development and management abilities: design, implement, and manage entrepreneurship programs; develop and oversee mentorship programs. • Outstanding strategic planning skills: development and execution; identifying and pursuing funding opportunities. • Excellent community engagement skills, including communication and social media channels. • Outstanding industry engagement abilities and experience. • Strong student support background. • Proven record of classwork integration. • Experience in event coordination: organize, plan, manage logistics, work with vendors, track & analyze outcomes. • Ability to prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders. • Proven track record of program development and management. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.

Starting Salary/Rate
|
Expected hiring range: $120,000- $150,000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
