Job Summary
|
The Assistant Director, Academic Integration for undergraduate experience provides leadership and execution of academic support. Monitors academic pitfalls for first- and second-year cohort through programs and initiatives such as: I-PERSIST mentoring and First-Year Intervention program. The Assistant Director collaborates with Institute partners to collect and assess identifiers for academic areas of concern to provide appropriate support. The Assistant Director also assists in developing and planning programs that support and enhance first-year students’ academic and personal success and leadership development.

Minimum Qualifications
|
- Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or related field
- Three (3) or more years experience with student development programs
- Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with diverse constituents
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

- Thorough understanding of student development concepts and theory
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Planning, organizing and effective time management skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to relate to students
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
- Ability to deal with rapidly changing, as well as sometimes competing priorities

Starting Salary/Rate
|
Expected hiring range: $62,353.20 - $63,654 / yr
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
