Job Summary

The Artist Services Coordinator is responsible for the operational and logistical aspects associated with non-production visit preparation, including travel arrangements, and on-campus stay of EMPAC curated artists-in-residence, performing artists, collaborators, lecturers, and other guests of the program. For these visitors, the coordinator is the point person for all general, non-program and non-production needs, requirements, and services from EMPAC and Institute departments. The coordinator collaborates and coordinates very closely with the curatorial, administrative, and Front-of-House teams, communicates directly with the visitors on all related matters, and organizes and disseminates information on plans and changes to the respective EMPAC staff.

Minimum Qualifications

High School/Equivalent and two (2) or more years of experience in an administrative, operations, and/or customer service position.

Valid US driver's license

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within the travel industry, event planning, arts management and agreements, and/or hotel hospitality. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge in event planning and/or hospitality
• Ability to find solutions and problem solve
• Ability to ensure workflow progression is maintained
• Attention to the need for workflow efficiency and effectiveness
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Independent judgement
• Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to shift priorities as needed
• Ability to compose routine correspondence and reports
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed


Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required


Local travel between campus locations only


Driving a passenger van seating 14 or fewer
