Job Summary
|
The Subcontract Administrator serves as primary point of contact to all RPI stakeholders (internal and external) for the preparation and negotiation of subaward agreements and the processing of transactions related to outgoing agreements under sponsored research awards. The Subcontract Administrator will serve as a subject matter expert to internal and external constituents to ensure compliance with RPI policies and procedures, as well as Federal and other regulatory guidance.

Minimum Qualifications
|
Bachelor's Degree in in related field and five (5) years of relevant professional experience issuing and managing purchase orders or contract administration functions (e.g., processing and negotiating contracts)
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
|
Preferred Qualifications
|
Work experience in research administration, federal grants and contracts administration, or in a higher education environment
|
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
|
- Knowledge of federal regulations and policies governing educational institutions and/or non-profits who perform sponsored research or other programs
- Knowledge of the grant
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged documents and communication
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Adobe skills
- Knowledge of procurement systems
- Requires careful attention to detail; accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and balance competing deadlines

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
|
- General knowledge of grants management issues
- Understanding the Subcontract life-cycle and the Risk Assessment process
