Job Summary
|
The Program Manager leads operational and administrative management of the Fashion Innovation Center (FIC), including for the FIC’s innovative business accelerator, funded projects, industry development, education and outreach, and service-related programs. This includes program planning and establishment and implementation of overall operating plans, policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with established program objectives. The Program Manager will also establish and develop tracking of program activities, spending, and outcomes, and collaborate and liaise with external constituencies on programmatic and administrative issues. The Program Manager will track information and metrics and prepare progress reports to NY State.

Minimum Qualifications
|
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, management, or a related field
3 or more years in related and progressively responsible experience including project management experience, and at least some of the preferred experiences listed below.
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
|
• Experience in the fashion industry and/or supply chain • Experience in the development of multi-disciplinary research or research proposals. • Experience working in an interdisciplinary research environment. • Experience working on programs that involve faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, and companies.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
|
• Knowledge of research-related computer software and/or ability to learn job specific software programs. • Knowledge of the administration, planning, and implementation of research projects. • Strong computer skills including with Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and similar collaboration tools such as Google Docs and WordPress. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. • Ability to gather and analyze data, compile information, prepare reports, and maintain a record-keeping system. • Ability to provide coordination, management, and development and/or implementation of projects. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community including faculty, staff, students, and industry and government participants. • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to establish priorities. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated writing and editing skills. • Ability to work effectively with all members of campus community in the scheduling of activities.

Starting Salary/Rate
|
Expected hiring range: $60000- $70000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
