Job Summary
|
The Athletics Alumni Events Coordinator will provide direct support to the Athletic Director. The Coordinator will collaborate with Institutional Advancement (IA) staff to ensure alumni events within the athletics department are designed and executed within the vision of both divisions (IA and Athletics). The coordinator will assist with special Alumni projects as assigned by the Athletic Director or other Senior members of the Athletic Staff ensuring short-term, annual giving goals are met in alignment with the mission of the Institute.

Minimum Qualifications
|
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma with a work and/or academic history demonstrating an interest in sports administration.
Some work experience is required.
Candidates must display excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact favorably with students including student-athletes, faculty, administrators, parents, donors, alumni, and others. Candidates must have academic or work experience that demonstrates their ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data and prepare materials summarizing findings in a formal report.

Preferred Qualifications
|
• Associate’s degree in college athletics or related field • 1-2 years’ experience in college athletics

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community • Requires ability to anticipate and solve problems • Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends

Starting Salary/Rate
|
Expected hiring amount: $17.30 per hour from August 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026, and August 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
